5 Ways to Improve Your Pre-Flop Game

1) Take control preflop — Try coming in for any raise when you play a hand. I know that is tough, but taking initiative whenever you open a pot can be really important to being a successful player, especially in no limit hold 'em.
2) Controlling tilt — Try to not care. As hard as that sounds you will need to want to win but be OK with losing. I have losing weeks sometimes, and I make an effort to remain positive. It always comes back around but when you tilt and continue to listen to it just won't work out.
3) Exercise! — Most people realize you need to be mentally difficult to succeed in poker, but people don't realize the physical aspect of it. Most players don't take the time to work out or eat correctly, dewapoker but let me tell you, it will help. Last year I developed a sick run on the internet and all this happened after I started training. I also 've got on the new arrange for eating well and exercising, and since then I happen to be playing well and winning.
4) Don't love your hand preflop — If you were playing a tournament, so you raise with TT and I re-raise you back. Chances are your TT just isn't very good (within the first few numbers of a tournament). Try just folding this hand, as you are essentially set mining and also have not a clue where you stand inside the hand.
5) Taking breaks — I have written some articles on this, in order to find this to get supremely important while playing poker. Last year during WSOP I played 6 events, exchanged for money zero. I had three bubbles and the last tournament I designed a dumb play to bust. The next day was an event I really planned to play, the 2500 PLO/PLH mixed event. I decided to just drive out to Cali, and see a beach and relax. So I did, I missed the tournament I really planned to play so I could easily get my thoughts right. Low and behold it worked, the initial event I played after I got in I took 3rd in the 3k buyin'.
